HYPNOBIRTHING
Hypnobirthing is a method used to help you surrender to your birthing body and trust in your natural ability to birth. Using breathing techniques, visualizations, and birth affirmations will help you prevent or break the fear – tension – pain cycle. Preparing for birth, Hypnobirthing allows both you and your partner to go inward to bring fears and emotions up and out. It allows you to experience a deep relaxation, all while remaining in control of your mind and body. Using the Hypnobirthing method and philosophy gives parents a different perspective on birth, making it a more joyful and comfortable experience.

SLEEP EDUCATION
Learn the science and the psychology behind infant and maternal sleep. There are several reasons as to why your infant wakes up in the night and it is normal. Learn sleep and nap strategies that are helpful for the whole family. Mama Tierra Birthing offers in-home sleep consultations, providing an individualized plan for your family. Here are my favorite books and websites on infant sleep:

BREASTFEEDING

The topics covered in our private breastfeeding class include:

POSTPARTUM PREPAREDNESS

This is not a class focusing on baby 101 care but instead postpartum parent 101 care. While postpartum is a time for welcoming the new baby to the family, it is also a time for healing and recovering. Come to learn the realities of life immediately after childbirth and what you can do to make it a smooth, supported, and nourishing transition.
In our Postpartum Preparedness class we cover the following:
- Birth…How does it affect postpartum?
- What is going on in my postpartum body?
